Your friend:
βHey, can you send me that file?β
Your brain:
βWHY IS EVERYONE ASKING ME FOR THINGS?β π
If this feels suspiciously familiar before your period, welcome to the Luteal Phase.
This is the part of your cycle after ovulation and before your next period. For some people, it's when PMS symptoms start making an appearance.

π€ Mood: suddenlyβ¦ complicated
You might notice:
Mood swings.
Irritation.
Anxiety.
Sadness.
Feeling self-critical.
Low energy.
One minute you're perfectly fine.
The next, you're replaying a conversation from three days ago like it's a courtroom investigation.

π§ Your brain might feel different too
Some people experience difficulty concentrating, feeling confused, low motivation or trouble sleeping during the days before their period.
You might be tired all dayβ¦
β¦and then suddenly wide awake at midnight.
βGreat. Exactly what I needed.β π

π« And then come the cravings
Suddenly you're thinking about:
Chocolate. Chips. Something salty. Something sweet. Actually⦠both.
Changes in appetite and food cravings can be part of PMS.
And then there's the supporting cast:
Bloating.
Tender breasts.
Acne.
Headaches.
Fatigue.
Basically, your body has decided to send several notifications at once.

π Don't blame everything on your cycle
Having a few difficult days doesn't mean something is wrong.
But if your mood symptoms are severe, happen repeatedly before your period, or interfere with your relationships, work or everyday life, talk to a healthcare professional.
You don't have to simply βput up with it.β
π± Start noticing your pattern
Track your mood, sleep, energy, cravings, acne, bloating and other symptoms in Clora.
After a few cycles, you might realise:
βOhβ¦ this happens every month around this time.β
And that little bit of awareness can make a big difference.
Because sometimes the first step isn't fixing everything.
It's knowing what's happening. π
