Last week:
โ€œWhy am I awake at 2:47 AM thinking about that embarrassing thing I did in 2019?โ€ ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Today:
Head hits pillow.
Gone.
No overthinking.
No checking the time.
No negotiating with your brain.
Justโ€ฆ
๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค
What happened?
You may be noticing a change in your sleep around your Follicular Phase.

๐ŸŒฑ Your sleep can feel different after your period

The Follicular Phase begins with your period and continues until ovulation.
As your cycle progresses, hormone levels change, and some people notice differences in energy, mood and sleep during this part of the cycle.
But here's the important bit:
Your sleep isn't controlled by your cycle alone.
Stress, screen time, caffeine, exercise, routine and your environment can all affect how well you sleep.
So if you're suddenly sleeping amazingly, don't immediately give all the credit to your hormones. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ˜ด What does โ€œsleeping betterโ€ actually look like?

Maybe you're:
๐ŸŒ™ Falling asleep faster
๐Ÿ˜ด Sleeping through the night
โฐ Waking up feeling more rested
๐Ÿง  Experiencing less nighttime overthinking
โ˜€๏ธ Feeling more refreshed in the morning
Or maybe your sleep hasn't changed at all.
That's completely okay too.
There isn't one โ€œcorrectโ€ sleep pattern for the Follicular Phase.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Start tracking your sleep

Instead of simply writing:
โ€œSlept well.โ€
Try noticing the details.
How long did it take you to fall asleep?
Did you wake up during the night?
How rested did you feel in the morning?
Where were you in your cycle?
Track your sleep changes in Clora alongside your cycle.
After a few months, you might notice:
โ€œWaitโ€ฆ I actually sleep better during this part of my cycle.โ€ ๐Ÿ‘€
Or maybe you'll discover that your sleep pattern has nothing to do with your cycle.
Either way, you've learned something about your body.

๐Ÿ’ค And if you're NOT sleeping like a baby?

Don't panic.
One bad night doesn't mean your cycle is โ€œmessing upโ€ your sleep.
And if sleep problems keep happening, significantly affect your daily life, or don't improve, it's worth discussing them with a healthcare professional.
Because sometimes your body isn't asking for another productivity hack.
It's simply asking for:
โ€œPlease let me sleep.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŒ™
So if you suddenly sleep through the night and wake up feeling human againโ€ฆ
enjoy it. ๐Ÿ˜ด๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’—
